This year's Midwinter Committee is working harder than ever to put on the best Conference ever. We will again be at the Clarion Hotel and Resort Center in Northampton, which has been very accommodating in meeting our needs and we know you'll enjoy the hospitality they provide. DG Bev Prentice isproud to say the Committee took extra efforts to keep the prices low by keeping the package prices the same as last year, putting you, the Lions of 33Y above all else. She believes this is extremely important in this time of rising costs and fiscal responsibility. This year's Friday night theme is "Service to Others": Come dressed as your favorite service provider (fire, police, EMT, Doctor, Nurse, etc. - you ge tthe idea)! A great buffet is again planned for your dining enjoyment and musical selections will be provided by Northampton Lions DJ Dennis FOuntain, PDG. There will be informative workshops, Tea Party with Lion Lori, the EyeMobile Annual Meeting as well as a forum with ID Brian Sheehan. You'll find the latest and greatest ideas and information from our district at the sales table, and then there's the display of Peace Posters, the Youth Speech Competition, and of course plenty of hospitality. Sharing your thoughts and friendship with others is worth attending alone! All officers and committee chairpersons are asked to have their reports (one page or less please) turned in by January 1st. via email to PDG² Jean W. Martin (jwmartinHL@yahoo.com); however hand delivery or snail mail (172 Hope Street, Greenfield, MA 01301) will work. So, download the Midwinter Conference application. Look it over, fill it out, and return it as soon as possible. (check out the discounted prices if you reserve early, by November 20. |
