Charlemont Lions Club

Meetings: Second Wednesday of every month, except July and August, 7 PM at the Charlemont Inn on Route 2 in the center of Charlemont. Call club contact in advance to verify location, date and time.

• Eyeglass Recycling: Charlemont Post Office

• Sunday Night Bingo: Every Sunday night at the Hawlemont Regional Elementary School, located in the center of Charlemont. Selling starts at 4:30 PM, games start at 6:30 PM. Usually done before 9 PM 

• Charlemont Memorial Day Parade: Monday, May 26, 2003. Our club organizes and finances this annual parade

• Yankee Doodle Days . Friday through Sunday, July 25, 26, 27, 2003. A three day small-town fair featuring a parade, great fireworks and activities. Our club sells hamburgers, hot dogs and soda.

• Doc Charles E. Streeter Citizenship Award, An award created by our club in honor of a former member, to recognize the work and dedication of our fellow citizens. First presented in 2000 at Yankee Doodle Days

• Deerfield Riverfest, Saturday, August 2, 2003. A white water festival with events for white water paddlers. Vendors exhibit their wares. Our club sells hamburgers, hot-dogs and soda.

• Hobby Horse Bazaar, Sunday, December 8, 2002. The local elementary school's PTO Christmas bazaar. Our club has a fundraiser that provides an activity for the kids while the adults are shopping. The event is being held at the Charlemont Inn, across the street from teh elementary school.
